Ok the teacher realises her limits - I'm super freakingly sick and won't be able to make it to work today. 

If there is a substitute teacher coming, here is the assignment you are going to work with today:


Pick one of these two scenes from the book. Imagine it from the other person’s perspective and write their story! Use your imagination and write about their feelings and their thoughts! You're supposed to write it as fiction, that is to say make something up and write a story! You are allowed to use the book for inspiration.

- When Alicia tells Sam that her period is late they meet at a Starbucks. When Sam arrives, Alicia is already there. Write the scene from Alicia’s perspective! (pp 76-81)

- When Sam thinks that Alicia is pregnant he runs away to Hastings. Write from Sam’s mother’s perspective about how she feels when Sam doesn’t come home and also how she feels and thinks when he does come home. (chapter 8)

- Sam and Alicia go together to tell Alicia’s parents that she is pregnant. Write the scene from either the mom’s or the dad’s perspective. (pp 153 - 161)

If you're really fast and don't know what to write you have to do more than one! If you've been naughty and haven't finished reading do it during class! Don't forget to put your documents in your English folders.
